How To Load iPhone Ringtones onto your iPhone 3G

One way that you can make your iPhone personally unique is through customizing your iPhone ringtones.

There are, at least, seven ways that you can get free iPhone ringtones. If you want to personalize the way your iphone rings then you can quite simply do this by following any of the methods below.

The first four methods, you will require Jailbreak.

Option A - If you want to use old wav sound files from 1999, then the wav soound files need to be changed into a format that your iphone will understand before syncing. IBrickr is what you would use to transcode the files. IBrickr is a windows application that will let you add your customized iPhone ring tones, then manage them.

Option B - You can use anything that is on your ipod that your iphone supports. For example, you could use either protected or unprotected AACs. And you could also use Mp3s or M4As. Once you have decided what to use from what is available, connect your iPhone to the iPod, then you drop the compatible ringtone into the/Library/Ringtones directory. This is done by utilizing SSH/File Transfer.

Option C - Use iFuntastic. iFuntastic is an application for Macintosh which lets you customize your iPhone or iPod. With this software, you no longer have to keep switching between unfailing and rejailing. Once you have unshackled your iPhone. All you have to do is just drag the iPhone ringtones into the correct folder which would be the Library Ringtones folder. This is the same as the Ssh/File transfer option.

Option D - This is a really simple method in which you use AppTapp to Sendsong. This will show you how to take any song you want from your ipod and simply move it into your ringtones section.

For the next three methods you won't have to use jailbreak.

Option E - If you have songs that you have converted to AAC format or even some itunes that you purchased, you can place these into the proper iTunes Ringtones folder provided it has the right file extensions.

Option F - You can use any editor to make AAC ringtones. Then obtain the free software MakiPhoneRingtone. Then all you have to do is drag and drop the iPhone ringtones onto the application. And after that, you just need to sync your Iphone.

Option G - Use iToner. This one is not free, but has a minimal cost which is currently $15. You can take any sound file on your Mac computer and turn it into an iPhone ringtone that you transfer to your iphone. This is done with a single click - without modifying, hacking or having to reset your iPhone. Go to iToner for this software. This is a mac application.

Option H - The efksoft software is a really simple way to get your new ringtones. This application allow you to edit your tunes, to cut them down to the perfect size to transfer. This is a windows application.

This give you a good selection of options and they all work quite well. Of course which you choose will depend on whether you have Mac or Windows computer at your disposal. They are all straightforward to use, and those methods using applications, will walk you through the process.

Of course, if you are not technically savvy or certain, you can also pay for Ringtones. I recommend Jamsters, for the best selection and price.
